1. Three sources of information are Direct.gov website, Citizens advice and the company procedures. 2. (a) Three aspects covered by law work conditions (health and safety), wages and the amount of hours you work. (b) Three current features are minimum wage, holiday entitlement and the correct training. 3. Employment law exists to protect employee's and there employers, for example to stop exploitation on both sides.
Task B
I am a trainee nursery practitioner at Hamilton house nursery in Sheffield. My contracted hours are a minimum of 25 a week. My annual leave is 28 days a year. In case of sickness I have to contact the office by phone by 7:30am and on all other morning up to I return. If time off exceeds 7 days I have to get a doctors note. Pay slips are important and have lots of useful information on them like... NI number, NI rate, tax code, hours worked, hourly pay, amount of payment, amount taxed and date of payment. If there is any change of my address or bank details I must inform my employer. If I wanted to raise a grievance at work I can talk to the staff mentor, If the staff mentor is one of the parties involved then I can go to one of the managers. Everything would be written down, signed and dated. A meeting would then follow to resolve the problem if its a more serious issue OFSTED would be contacted.
Data protection - Is how information collected by the employer is used. Grievance - These can be given verbally and in writing to the manager to help resolve problems in the work place. Conflict management - Is to discuss and solve a problem between employer and employee in a professional manor.
