If plants do not use photosynthesis, they would be unable to food for themselves and oxygen for other life forms. Entire food chains would lose its foundation, herbivores that depend on plant material for food would die off, and without their food source, and carnivores would disappear too. Soon, almost all creatures (including humans) would starve and die off because they ultimately depend on other plants and creatures for food. Furthermore, there will be massive amounts of carbon dioxide and very little oxygen left on Earth, making it difficult to…
A. What do you notice about the Moon’s shadow? The Sun..... In this case the shadow of the Earth falls upon the Moon, making it dark.…
In 1790 this huge monolith was discovered beneath the surface of the Zocalo, the main square of Mexico City. They had remained buried for 269 years after the Spanish conquest of Tenochtitlan. It's called the Sun Stone and represents the vision of the cosmos that had the ancient Mexicans. The stone measures twelve feet in diameter and weighs twenty-four toneiadas. It is estimated that the artists who carved the stone Aztec took nearly twenty years to complete the work. Today is the centerpiece of the most important exhibitions of the museum room National Anthropology and History located in Chapultepec Park in Mexico City. The loss of the Sun is also known as the Calendar Azekah, though not precisely…
The sun gives of so much energy it would be like setting of 100 billion hydrogen bombs every second. The sun is very important because of its mass the sun is the dominant gravitational force in the solar system locking 8 planets into a elliptical orbit. So if the sun just dissaperead what would happen to the orbital system? What would happen to the earth? Anything in orbit around the sun is moving fast enough to be in a constant state of freefall towards the sun.…
In A Raisin in the Sun written by Lorrain Hansberry Walter experiences frustration throughout act one. The family lives in a small apartment with just two bedrooms. Mama and Beneatha share a room and the other one is for Ruth and Walter. Travis, the son sleeps on the couch everyday in the living room. Walter, the man of the house, works as a chauffer everyday making little money. However, opportunities arise with the insurance money that the family will receive from the death of Walter’s father. Unhappy with his job, Walter wants to be rich and devises a plan to acquire wealth with his friends to invest his father’s insurance money in a new liquor store venture. Nevertheless, the family believes in buying a new house to have a better life instead of risking it all on a risky venture. Walter demonstrates the trait of frustration throughout the Scene. At the breakfast table, Ruth does not agree with Walter’s Liquor store plan, thus Walter becomes frustrated and says “That is just what is wrong with the colored woman in this world… Don’t understand about building their men up and making’em feel like they somebody like they can do something” (34). The Liquor store to Walter is an opportunity that leads to a great provider for the family. Working as a chauffer for a rich white man has made Walter totally dissatisfied. There's no room for advancement as an African American. Thus Liquor store is the only hope for Walter to become rich and successful. In order to invest the money Walter needs support from his family, which he is not receiving according to the context. In Walter’s perspective Ruth is shutting him down with negativities and unreliability. Next, Mama comes and talks about how to spend the money. Mama wants a new house and she does not believe in investing in the liquor store. Walter comes in shortly after the check arrives and tires to convince Mama otherwise. However, Mama will not listen, which frustrated…

According to Couton et al.(2006), various studies have applied hedonic price modeling to show that price variation among new cars can be explained by differences in key product characteristics such as horsepower, engine capacity, speed, and safety features. However, these measurable variables may not be the main explanatory factors which will influence the choice of consumers. Based on the above mentioned content, this research will focus on the decisive factors which will impact the public's final choice of car, especially in the…
I dislike the idea of not having sun in the sky. Living in a place where everything is dark and the light goes out almost all the time, would be terrifying. Not only is it depressing to be in the obscure, but you never again get to see anything in the sky but absolute darkness, which sounds like an alarming idea. (Words: 61)…

Like most people fear and irrational thinking would kick in, also then recovery from this is not just a hug from a parent but a mental breakdown. Luckily most people over the age of ten have gotten over this fear, and this might have seemed like it took a great amount of courage for oneself. In Nightfall, it takes place in a world where there is always at least one sun in the sky at all times, until every two thousand forty-nine years there is darkness for a total of ten to fourteen hours. During these hours people go psycho, fires are formed and people lose their minds. These times are where the courage of the scientist is shown and they realize that it is because of the gravitation of the planet.…
An interstate bridge in the California desert collapsed recently as heavy rains scoured away the land the depleted bridge was anchored to.The bridge for years has been a major throughway between the cities of Los Angeles and Phoenix as many cars use the bridge to get to there destination.Which caused the collapse was ,water hurrying through an ordinarily dry desert chasm disintegrating the area around the bridge, bringing about one side of the eastward interstate to fall and causing the closure of the westward side.California Department of Transportation spokesperson Vanessa Williams said, “bridge should have been fine if the flood came straight down the gully, this time it swept through at an angle that pushed the water to one bank, digging…
Sunspots have usually a diameter of about 37,00km and appear as dark spots within the photosphere. There is a strong radial magnetic field within a sunspot. There is an even better correlation with the length of the solar cycle, between years of the highest numbers of sunspots. Recent research shows that the combined effects of sunspot-induced changes in solar irradiance and increases in atmospheric greenhouse gases offer the best explanation for the observed rise in average global temperature over the last century. The Earth’s climate is always changing. The Sun is the source of the energy that causes the motion of the atmosphere and thereby controls weather and climate. “During stable conditions there has to be a balance between the energy received from the sun and the energy that the earth radiates back into space.” The climate changes prior to the industrial era may be strongly influenced by variations in solar activity.…
The sun by definition is the star that is "the central body of the solar system, around which the planets revolve and from which they receive light and heat." This self-luminous star is not only the largest object in the solar system containing 99.8 percent of the total mass but is also a fundamental necessity to every human and living thing's life.…
While the sun hits on people’s faces, it gives a positive vibe. It is scientifically proven that a little sunshine can make somebody’s day. So a little sunshine is necessary throughout the day. When it comes to summer, there are many positives and in some opinions plenty of negatives. One major positive to summer is the fact that kids a have a few months off of school. With this students have more time to spend with family and friends. With the scorching sun hitting ones back, there are plenty of ways to cool off. Sipping an ice cold lemonade, or jumping into a pool, and of course going to the beach with family and friends. Then there are negatives, one negative is too much sun. Too much sun can cause major problems both mentally and physically. So it is important to take precautions for the summer time.…
