Superheros films found in modern culture are now as diverse as the culture itself. No longer are superheroes confined to the Superman type of style, rather than free to expand and build new characters from new ideas. Across different countries, and cultures, superheroes have vast differences, as well as unique similarities. However, there are some aspects that are universally needed for a superhero to be created. Superheroes films need to cover the character’s inspirational background story, unique ability, and cultural connection to be considered a superhuman, regardless of global origin.
For a superhero to attract audiences, he or she needs to have an inspirational background. Backgrounds are essential for audiences to relate to superhumans because oftentimes,

For an audience to really feel connected to a superhuman, there needs to be a deeper level of understanding, which oftentimes stems from someone with a similar background, like a nationality or culture. Particularly in the 2017 Russian film Guardians, the superheroes represent the Soviet people and are there to protect their homeland. Russian viewers may feel especially connected to these characters because they share common cultural practices and feelings with them. Russia is not the only country to provide a cultural connection between its audience and heroes. Similarly in the United States, there are common superheroes like Captain America and Iron Man who portray common American views and important priorities. Captain America, a U.S soldier, is clearly very patriotic which is a common theme in American culture. Iron Man is essentially just a very wealthy man with impressive gear, which showcases the American ideal that money is

The idea of superheroes is surprisingly well fitting in this era, as it lies during a time of lies, anxiety and propaganda. Superheroes represent a symbol of hope that citizens were able to look up to, when normal humanity had devastated itself in the destruction of war. The helplessness and paranoia of the time had influenced not only the people of the time, but also the literary works.…

Many modern day comics, movies, and television series are based on epic hero values but are given the “superhero” label. Green Arrow for example is similar to Beowulf, a well known epic hero. They both are born from noble families and fight for fame and glory. They also both have faced defeat in battle protecting their people. Epic heroes, while they can perform impossible tasks and journeys, they lack a superhero power.…

“It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no its Superman!” For decades comic book characters such as Superman, The Incredible Hulk, Batman, and Wonder Woman have captured the imaginations of American children and adults alike. “Superheroes,” they have been coined. But these figures only exist in our imaginations. Batman is not really there to save us from villains such as the Joker and the Riddler. Because these heroes are fictional, we are left without real life heroes… or are we? The answer is clearly no. Heroes are all around us. They can be courageous, intelligent, strong or daring, but heroes to me are selfless and brave.…

The heroes in our comics are extremely strong. Take Superman for example, his only weakness is kryptonite. He is big and strong and he always saves the world. Half of the person we become is an impression of the ones we admire. Growing up in the United States every child has someone they look up to. This most likely is an individual that represents success and the values we are taught to respect. Superheroes have always served as something good in our lives because they make us want to help the world and feel like we can do anything. Superheroes represent qualities that we should all attempt to embody. What Captain America truly represents can be interpreted in many ways, but there are messages being conveyed. The authors of “Captain America: The First Avengers” use rhetoric to express the social ideology that being a hero is not exactly how strong you are, but what values and morals you live your life by.…

A great poet once said “We grew up cheering for the underdog because we see ourselves in them” (Shane Koyczan To This Day). When you think of a hero what do you think of ? Is it a guy in a cape, or a mom who works three jobs to support her struggling family? When you read that comic book where hero starts as a regular person. Who is just like everyone that no one believes. Everyone was once an underdog even that hero. You kept your faith in someone or something no one else did. And by the end of that comic series that hero did not gain money or get a reward, they paid the overall price.…

The Punisher, Robin Hood, Batman, and Superman are some of the characters that we stereotypically constitute as heroes. They are known to fight with courage without fear of death. They destroy the enemy within a blink of an eye. They fight using their own body strength, superpower, or some kind of weapon. They come to the rescue miraculously and leave without a trace. They are mysterious. We are unable to identify who they are underneath the masks and disguises. Yet, we praise them and ignore the real heroes that surround us regularly, ordinarily. “All of us …like to believe that in a moral emergency we will behave like the heroes of our youth, bravely and forthrightly, without thought of personal loss or discredit”. In other words, we are quite oblivious to the ordinary people of the world that are, in fact, the true heroes.…

The first thing I would like to say is the definition of a hero "Someone who behaves selflessly, usually at considerable personal risk and sacrifice, to comfort or empower others and to make the world a better place." The reason that I am writing about this is that it has been brought to my attention about military personnel, firefighters, and police officers being considered hero’s.…

Cultural norms are essential to a movie’s creation, specifically, movies such as Fantastic 4 (2015) and "Guardians" (2015) showcase similarities and differences with norms. "Guardians" is a Russian 2017 film that is closely correlated with American superheroes due to a majority of its influence by American superhero films. Likewise, "Guardians" presents cultural norms greatly similar to American norms that contributes to its success. However, Fantastic 4 differentiates from "Guardians" as Fantastic 4 originated from a comic, an original source which, furthermore, applies for many superhero movies in America. Without a superhero movie having an original source that addresses the storyline precisely, it will be driven with complications in…

Marvel The Avengers is my number one favorite superhero movie. I love how all the major superheroes are together in one film, such as, Thor, Ironman, Captain America, Hulk, Hawkeye, and Black Widow. Like the Avengers, there are many other superhero movies. Examples are Superman, Spiderman, and Wolverine. A superhero movie consists of a hero who possesses extraordinary, often magical powers. Most superhero movies are based on comic books. A superhero movie is a movie that is focused on the actions of one or more superheroes. These individuals, who usually have superhuman abilities unlike a normal person, and are dedicated to protecting the public. Theses movies typically feature action, fantasy and science fiction elements. The first film of every superhero movie often focuses on the origin of the powers that the superhero has. Last, a superhero movie includes a fight between the superhero and the super villain or archenemy.…
