L’Oreal aims to reduce its CHG emissions from its plants and distribution centers by 60 % till the year 2020. Prologis helped L’Oreal by building its Vemars facility which is expected to get BREEAM “Very Good” rating in sometime. Prologis installed highly efficient LED lights which works for 5 times longer than normal lighting and also consumes only 50 % of the energy. Also Prologis used a technology called Dynamic Energy simulation which helps in reducing the energy consumption of the facility. Prologis helps L’Oreal to monitor and control the water consumption of the facility and also developed an intelligent car sharing system. Prologis plans to extend this car sharing system gradually to its other logistics facilities. Prologis also has developed the white reflective cool roof concept which retains less heat and keep the indoors of the building relatively cooler which decreases the energy consumption for the air
