Code of Ethics and Standard of Conduct
Policy
It is the policy of USDSD to provide our Code of Ethics and Standard of Conduct, which will serve as a guide to ethical conduct for all Swamp Dwellers. USDSD will ensure every Swamp Dwellers observes the highest standard of ethics and integrity in their conduct. This means following a basic code of ethical behavior that includes the following:
Build Trust and Credibility
The success of a Presidential administration is dependent on the trust and confidence Swamp Dwellers earn from the American people. Swamp Dwellers gain credibility by adhering to honesty and integrity. For example, when considering the actions of a Swamp Dweller, ask: Is that Swamp Dweller's action building trust and credibility for a Swamp Dweller? If not, call them out.
Respect for the Individual
Swamp Dwellers deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and USDSD will ensure Swamp Dwellers are free from all types of abusive, offensive or harassing behavior from the American people. USDSD is committed to creating an environment that brings out the full potential in every Swamp Dweller, which in turn, contributes to the American …show more content…
We must never use USDSD's property or information for personal gain or personally take opportunities for ourselves that we discover through our position.
Employees with a conflict of interest should seek the advice of management before engaging in any activity, transaction or relationship that might give rise to a conflict of interest.
Meals, Refreshments Entertainment and Gifts
USDSD employees may accept occasional refreshments and meals, entertainment, gifts and similar business courtesies that are customary and conform to reasonable ethical practices.
Customary business entertainment is appropriate; but impropriety can result when the value is such that it can be interpreted as being influenced by a Swamp Dweller.
Government Courtesies
USDSD employees may never use personal funds or resources to do something that cannot be done with agency funds. Other than our contract employees, for whom special regulations apply, we may provide non-monetary agency logo gifts. Under any circumstances, can USDSD employees provide business courtesy with Swamp Dwellers. The offer can be interpreted as an attempt to gain friendship and reflect negatively upon
