GENERAL PSYCHOLOGY
Course Description
A broad spectrum of the conceptual and empirical foundations in its main fields. The discussion of the theories, concepts and empirical findings focuses on complex human behavior, how and why we think, feel and behave the way we do, how we act and interact with others, and why and how we become a unique individual that we are.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES - At the end of the semester, the student shall be able to:
Cognitive 1. Learn and understand the basic concepts of Psychology; 2. Analyze the basic human behavior and emotions; 3. Know the fundamental issues of human nature and their environment that affects them; 4. Memorize and recall basic psychological terms and concepts.
Affective
1. Appreciate the importance of Psychology; 2. Integrate learned positive behavior of them selves; 3. Correct and or control self of negative behaviors; 4. Understand, sympathize, and or empathize with others' behaviors and actuations.
Psychomotor
1. Demonstrate learned skills through active social interactions; 2. relive learned positive behavior and skills to everyday life; 3. adjust to people in their environment whether from school, home, work or community; 4. Facilitate individual and social change through understanding of psychology.
