Should people be loyal? How loyal are you talking about? I think that both that people should be loyal to someone if someone else that is going to be loyal to them, but the loyalty of someone should not be over used. In source A their is an great example of a dog be loyal to his or her owner. In source B their is also a great example of loyalty to someone how is going to pay you back by being loyal back to you. In source C their is an example of loyalty being over used as to one side of someone. In source D the way of loyalty can go both ways because Hitler was loyal to his people by doing what he said he was going to do and his people were loyal back to Hitler by doing what he said to do.These are great examples of both people showing loyalty and loyalty being over used or one sided. …show more content…
This dog was loyal to his or her owner by siting by his or her body. The dog showed this loyalty to the owner probably because the owner was loyal to the dog for a long time. This has happened not only with dogs but other animals too. This is a great example of loyalty be used mostly fair on both side. In source B their is also a great example of loyalty to someone how is going to pay you back by being loyal back to you. The source is telling you that as a team everyone should stick together though the bad and good. This is also saying that if you are in a bad position you will be help by our own team mate and you would do the same for them. This is a good example of loyalty being used fairly. In source C their is an example of loyalty being over used as to one side of someone. The source is an example of a slave kind of work which is doing everything that you told and getting payed nothing back. Slave work is unfair to the slave which is one sided loyalty. This unfair loyalty to the man or woman being told what to do that is why I think this is an great example of one sided

Walter and Douglass are both loyal. In this quote you read about Douglass getting into an altercation and Douglass saids “At this moment I resolved for the first time to go to my master and enter a complaint”(Pg 426). This shows Douglass as loyal because when he got into an altercation he ran back to his master and was hoping he would be able to solve the problem. On the other hand we see Walter being loyal to his family when he decides not to accept Linders offer to sell their house in Clybourne Park just for the money.” We have decided to move into our house because my father… earned it for us brick by…

Loyalty is a state of devoted attachment to someone or something. Loyalty is perhaps one of the most admirable qualities one can have; it is not only a measure of one's true character, but one's decisions as well. In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, there is no greater loyalty than that which exists between young Huck Finn and Jim. Jim demonstrates his loyalty to Huck by remaining with Huck as almost a paternal figure once he misses his turn on the river for Cairo, thereby continuing deeper into the hazardous South. Huck, in turn, demonstrates his loyalty to Jim by returning for Jim once Jim is taken captive. By doing so, Huck also demonstrates his loyalty to humanity through his betrayal of racism. In Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Twain develops the theme that loyalty is measured through one's actions in times of crisis by having Huckleberry break class lines and befriend a runaway slave in the racist antebellum years.…

Loyalty can be known as a commitment a person will take to show their worthiness. In "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight," loyalty had been misused by Sir Gawain. Gawain had broken his promise to the king he had stayed with by not giving him the girdle the queen had given him. This action made Gawain un loyal because he broke the one rule the king had given him. A similar action takes place in the present day, in which an act of un loyalty can be made through marriage. Husbands or wives can break their vows by cheating on their spouse. Just like Gawain who had cheated his own way out of the castle. These two scenarios both show acts of breaking a commitment known as un loyalty, which defies chivalry.…

The novel Of Mice and Men shows many examples of commitment and loyalty. Lennie respects very highly of George all the time. Lennie is mentally slow, so he might think of George as his master, but they are best friends. George is committed to reach his dream. He has always wanted to own a small “dream farm,” and many people are financially supporting him. Even though he doesn’t end up with the dream farm in the novel, he still worked very hard for it. Lastly, everyone was loyal to Slim. The rest of the characters considered him as the “prince” of the farm. All of this shows how people were loyal to others, whether in the right or wrong way, and how you should work hard to fulfill your dreams, even if it does not work out as expected.…

One of the themes in Of Mice and Men is loyalty and is clearly justified at the end of the novel when George takes care of Lennie after his aunt Clara dies. The two of them go around looking for work together; George wouldn’t let anything happen to Lennie. Another example would be when Curley is trying to start a fight with Lennie, George steps in to protect Lennie, and the last example of loyalty would be when George kills Lennie. When Candy’s dog was shot by Carlson he felt guilty because he didn’t take his own dog out of misery. George didn’t want to feel the same guilt, so when it came time for the guys wanting to kill Lennie, George knew he needed to do it himself.…
