Synthesis Paper

Nostre aetate begins by describing the unity of the origin of all people, and the fact that they all return to God; hence their final goal is also one. It describes the eternal questions which have boggled men since the beginning, and how the various religious traditions have tried to answer them. I have seen how It notes the willingness of the Catholic Church to accept other religions in so much as they lead souls to the Christ. I learned that it is not enough to stop learning about your culture and your religion but we should also understand the things that is is happening around us especially concerning about our religion. Also this is a part of wide variety of lessons Mr. Donoso gave us like reports about various religions, documentary films and his his lectures were all a part of this learnings. I've learn to accept also others becaue we may be having "different" Gods but this is because we came from different environment, culture, beliefs and all. But still we know that there is not Almighty God we are trying to communicate with. And that is what Religion is for.

pI have learned that Parish involvement isn't as bad as I expected it to be. Giving back what God gave to us like our talents, skills, wisdom and everything will be more meaningful if we do it by Parish involvement because we serve as an example to everyone. I learned to be out of the social world and reflect towards God who gave us his only son to save us from our sin. I was able to give 10 hours for God and for myself because I was able to distance myself from my social life and school work so that I can be quiet and talk to God. It also changed my views about hearing mass because I thought it was boring and all but I was wrong after doing my parish involvement. It is us who thinks it's boring but if we try to listen to the words that God has been trying to preach, we can see the real essence of hearing mass every Sunday. Because of this I made a promise to my parish church to serve every
