Taliban In The Kite Runner
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini is a novel about an Arab boy and his father’s trials and tribulations of finding happiness with each other. The Taliban have been active in trying to take over governments in the middle east such as Pakistan and Afghanistan. They are a very powerful and influential terrorist organization. The issue of the Taliban control is a big issue for the Middle Eastern countries and the countries that the Taliban have threatened. The Taliban is a very powerful organization, we just don’t know how powerful.

Khaled’s wife also influenced him to begin writing again. She was the reason the Khaled finished and published his first book, The Kite Runner. Whenever Khaled finished his books, he always made sure it was his wife was the first person to see it and edit it before he sent it out to other editors. When the twin towers were destroyed in 2001 Khaled almost gave up on writing his book altogether, but his wife convinced him that it was better than any other time to keep writing.     Rarely has a book left me speechless like The Kite Runner has. It was so beautifully haunting that I simply could not tear my eyes away from reading it. The portrayal of the characters emotions were so raw, that it left me in tears or crying in denial.
