talk team uk
When you refer to other sources in your assignment, remember to acknowledge these correctly using Harvard referencing system. Failure to do so will result in an automatic referral

Case Study ‘Talk Team UK’ is a London-based telephone banking company. The company has been performing badly for a long period of time. Its profit margin continues to fall and it has a large turnover of staff.
You have been hired for your business expertise. Your task is to identify current problems at the company and propose solutions that will motivate staff to stay at the company and perform their tasks effectively.
The following problems have been identified:
Most staff are paid £6.08 per hour (minimum wage)
Staff are often required to work overtime, but are not paid for this extra work
There are rumours amongst staff that some employees are on a higher salary than the rest of their team, even though they perform the same tasks as their colleagues and have been at the company for the same length of time
Staff must ‘clock in’ and ‘clock out’ every time they enter and exit the building. Failure to do so will result in a penalty fine
The company offers very little in the way of training.
Promotions are rare, with the company generally choosing to hire better-qualified candidates from outside the company for higher-level positions
The management rarely communicates with lower-level employees. Staff meetings are held once a year and employees have reported feeling ‘ignored’ and ‘undervalued’ during these meetings
There is a lack of team spirit. Some employees do not know the names of their colleagues
Question
Discuss changes you would make at ‘Talk Team UK’ in order to increase levels of job satisfaction at the company and motivate workers to perform their tasks effectively (1000 words approximately).

As a manager, he/she needs to address problems as they arise. The one that stands out in this case appears to be a lack of communication. As per Greenberg (2013), the communication procedure starts when one group has a thought that it wishes to transmit to another either group may be an individual, a group, or a whole association (p. 238). General communication with workers is constantly necessary to an association's prosperity, yet it turns out to be particularly basic amid times of vulnerability. At the point when individuals are worried about professional stability and organization execution, reports on corporate news are key. By keeping representatives educated, managers can address uneasiness and guarantee specialists are centered on meeting business destinations.…

The clocking in and out procedure should be monitored with either a security camera system of by a suitable supervisor who will ensure that employees will not sign in other co-workers. This could be backed up by a security guard at the gates to the company with a signing/ swiping in and out system for employees arriving and leaving the site. Then a control could be implemented to cross reference the clocking in times and dates with the entering and leaving records for a sample of employees every month to make sure that no employes are abusing the system. The employee caught clocking in other members of staff should be disciplined accordingly and the rest of the staff reminded of the companies stance on such behaviour along with the procedures that they all have to follow when clocking in and out. Any overtime worked should be checked to ensure it was authorised before payment is made.…

This is the Library’s guide to Harvard referencing. The Library recommends that you check with your tutor before using this guide as they may have produced their own guidelines. There are two parts to Harvard referencing: 1. Citing within the text - All ideas taken from the work of another (whether directly quoted or put into your own words) need to be identified within your assignment by adding the author’s surname, year of publication and page number in brackets e.g. The evidence in a recent study (Smith, 2002, p.14) suggests… If you include the author’s name within the text of your assignment you only need to add the year and page number in brackets e.g. In a recent study, Smith (2002, p.14) suggests… 2. Reference List - The reference list goes at the end of your assignment and contains the full information of the sources (books, journals, websites etc.) that you have referred to in your assignment. Reference lists are in alphabetical order by the author’s surname. Punctuation i.e. full stops, commas, colons etc. are an important part of a reference (see examples in the tables). It is also important to be consistent.…
