Assessment item 1 – Sustainability Presentation
Duration: Approximately 10 minutes

Optional or Compulsory: Compulsory
Assesses unit objectives:
1. Demonstrate an understanding of sustainable management
2. Identify and explain approaches used to develop sustainable organisations
3. Identify and assess performance issues related to the management of sustainable organisations
Assesses Assurance of Learning Goals:
Knowledge & Skills - 1.1, Integrate and apply disciplinary theory and skills to practical situations
Professional Communication - 3.2, Communicate effectively through professional oral presentations appropriate to varied contexts and audiences
Submission Requirements:
To receive marks for this assessment item, you must present, in person, to your tutor. Also required is:
An A4 printout of the slides (in handout format of six(6) slides per page) which must be handed to your tutor at commencement of your presentation
Upload your presentation (in PDF format) to the Unit’s Blackboard Site (link is under ‘Assessment’), on or prior to the day of your presentation
There is no need to hand in speaking notes or other materials (in fact we encourage you not to use notes)
Task:
Based on the case provided, you will prepare a presentation for the company board on how they should firstly analyse and then manage their stakeholders, using theory covered in class.
Extensions:
No extensions will be granted for this piece of assessment. If you fail to present at the scheduled day and time (as arranged with your tutor in week 4), a mark of ‘0’ will be awarded.
Results:
It is expected that results will be returned to you in class by week 8. The delay is to ensure we are consistent across the unit. Any review of grade must be initially discussed with your tutor. Should agreement not be reached, please contact
