Patton-Fuller Community Hospital network's fundamental characteristics and components include four information systems. These four information systems are used to communication and collaboration between senior management, employees, doctors, nurses, and patients. The names of the information systems are accounting and finance information system, human resource information system, customer relationship management information system, and knowledge management information system.
The accounting and finance information system generates financial statements that are required by the federal government. These specific financial statements are used by senior executives to manage cash flow, liabilities, net income, and assets.
The human resource information system has many uses for Patton-Fuller Community Hospital. This system allows the Human Resource Department to have more productivity because of the tasks that this system can complete. Such tasks include manage policies, procedures, and allows employees to conduct personal actions like time sheets. The system is also used by the Human Resource Department for training, recruitment and personnel evaluations.
The customer relationship management information system tracks patient recommendations, complaints, and comments and provides patient satisfaction reports to senior management. The World Wide Web allows the patients to interface with Patton-Fuller Community Hospital and develop patient loyalty.
The knowledge management information system is used solely by doctors and nurses. Doctors and nurses use this system to access online medical databases to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
