The type of serial killer I find to be the most dangerous to society is the hedonistic type, because I have noticed that they are in the category of killers most likely to kill slowly, and to drag out the pain their victims feel. John Wayne Gacy was one such serial killer, as a lust-oriented hedonist who derived pleasure from raping his victims before their death and ejaculated as he killed them. He was highly educated having attended both college and law school, and was considered to be extremely charming which he used to lure his victims. Bundy planned his crimes carefully, using a guise of being injured to lure young women who he then murdered. Ted left no evidence except for the physical, and likely would not have been caught if he hadn't been pulled over by chance after committing a murder.

The type of mass murderer I find to be the most dangerous to society would be the disciple type, who follows the directions of their charismatic leader. I find them the most dangerous because they are just pawns, and will kill whoever they are told with no regard for human life, and will even die for their leader if they are told to. Susan Atkins was one such disciple. She was a follower of Charles Manson, and she was charged with helping to commit seven murders on his command. These murders were committed near to where Manson was at the time, which is common among disciple
