love for knives and burglary tools. His victims later became the target of his serious crimes. Many women in Seattle, Oregon and Utah area went missing but were found rape, torched, then brutally murdered. Finally, an eyewitness seen Bundy leave a crime scene he committed, and was capture then arrested to failure to stop for a police officer. He went to trial a few times unit he reached his final destination, which was the electric chair on February 7, 1980. During Ted Bundy’s lifetime, his background, crimes and trials all added up to him being one of the most hateful individuals in the world. Therefore, beneath his almost charming exterior, lived a criminal with the darkest, most evil intents, and became the most nefarious serial killer in history.
To begin, Ted Bundy entered the world on November 24, 1946, in Burlington, Vermont.
His mother Eleanor Cowell, was twenty-two years old and was unmarried when she had her son Ted, which scandalized her deeply religious parents. She later brought Ted to her parents in Philadelphia. To hide the fact he was an illegitimate child, Bundy was raised as the adopted son of his grandparents and was told that his mother was his sister. In 1951, Eleanor later moved with Ted to Tacoma, Washington and finally became married to Johnnie Bundy. At the age of 3, Ted became fascinated by knives and other burglary tools he can find. He’s imagination was not like any ordinary child as he grew, but he’s imagination was more dreadful. In school, Bundy was a shy and bright child who did well in school but not with his peers. Paralleling this tendency, ‘Biography Editors’ points out that as a teenager, a darker side of his character started to emerge. He started to look in other people’s window and thought nothing of stealing things he wanted from others. Next, while he was a student at the University of Washington, Bundy fell in love with a wealthy and pretty young woman name Carole Anne Boone. He became married and brought a beautiful daughter in the world in October of 1982. Finally, Bundy’s horrible imagination was starting to grow bigger and bigger over the years. Even though, he attended the best school in Washington, met the love of his life, nothing didn’t stop his imagination of killing by making it a
reality.
Next, Ted committed a portion of crimes over the years. In 1962, at the age of 14, he was accused of killing an 8 year old girl, Anne Marie Burr. She lived 10 blocks from Ted and she use to follow him around majority of the time. A day after she went missing, people questioned Ted and he immediately felt uncomfortable and changed the subject (Blanco 1). Next in 1974, Lynda Ann Healy who was only 21 years old went missing and she never made it to dinner. According to Murderpedia, it points out that a year later, during a thorough examination of what came to be known as Bundy’s graveyard. Lynda’s skull was establish, bearing the unmistakable marks of vicious battering. Bundy later admitted to her murder before his execution. Then in 1976, a woman name Caryn Campbell, age 23 years old, was with her step kids and finance when she went missing on vacation. She had remembered leaving a magazine and went to go retrieve it, but never returned to the lounge where they was staying. On February 18, she was found in a snowbank off of Owl Creek Rd, not far from the lounge they were staying in. They found her laying in the blood stained snowbank nude, battered and cut. Later, Bundy confessed to her murder before his execution. Many and many women were brutally murdered by Ted Bundy.
