This article Evaluates the short-term outcome of a primary prevention program on dating violence offered at secondary schools. Program description; Analysis of conflict for knowledge items for schools receiving the short and long programs; Comparison between the two programs. This gives information on how intervention is taking some form of action in our communities. This source is useful because of its content of comparison in domestic violence.
The focus on the actual programs formed by individuals aside from students was interesting and informative. This does not only inform others the severity of the issue but also provides analytical data for future research.

The article discusses a survey by the United States Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration, conducted from 2006 to 2008. Finding that 26.7 percent of girls ages 12 to 17 had been involved in violence in the previous year. There are statistical results in just how many girls whom have reported being in a violent dating relationship, however there are many whom don't come forward so the percentage can be much greater than anticipated. Causing this issue to be a serious problem in our society today.
This article was useful because it provided me with a idea or image of just how many young girls have been or are in a violent dating relationship. This brought up some questions involving substance abuse, such as... If the prevention of victims continue so would the amount of substance abusers? Which is usually driven by depression or anger, and those two emotions are often the cause of domestic abuse.
