Causes of Teenage Drinking
What can you say to people who think teen drinking is not a serious problem? In today's society, many teens are pressured to be successful at school related activities or academics. They are pushed to get into a promising college, which will help them get a pronominal job upon graduation. This might not sound as bad for some people but these allegations can put a lot of weight on a teenagers shoulders. This is where many teenagers find themselves overwhelmed and turn to drinking. Many of these causes teenagers are facing are due to the ability of the alcohol being able to relax them, automatic inclusion, and family conflicts. To begin with, everyone at one point or another in their lives had to deal with some kind of stress.
Many teenagers today are faced with everyday troubles or conflicts that add afflicted unwanted weight on their shoulders. again.
In addition to, everyone as a teenager wants to feel included or part of something.
Whether it's being invited to a party at someone's house or even a beach party where alcohol is being consumed, it is the frame of mind that will drive many teenagers to do whatever it takes to become part of a group that makes them feel like they're in the right place. This is why many teenagers fall victim to alcohol, it's the easiest way to achieve that automatic "I fit in "or "I belong" sense . For example, it's like a cross between the typical social classes known as "jocks" and "nerds" since it suddenly becomes a mutual interest. This way of thinking with today's teenagers is one of the major results of drinking and trying to reach a higher popularity through the wrong methods. Therefore, most teenagers do not actually desire to consume alcohol but merely would not want to be alone or feel left
out. Furthermore, family plays a leading role in the life of their children. If a child is raised around alcoholics then they're likely to become one themselves as they become a teenager. For example, when children see parents using alcohol on a daily basis or to handle stress, and not modeling for their children in healthy ways of dealing with their feelings. The child is likely to act the same as they mature and also if the parent does not supervise the teenager and make sure they're doing the right thing then that also plays a key role in the likely hood of drinking for teenagers. However, not all teenagers have parents that are alcoholics, many have precise parents that want things done in a certain way or at some points can be severe parental discipline. This kind of disciplines include, physical contact, mental abuse such as (yelling, threatening), and over abundance of unneeded tasks. These responses lead to teenagers wanting to engage in drinking to escape the torment of their family or friends. As a final point, Teenagers each and every day are faced with situations that requires them to be strong and adequate to their full extent of themselves. Whether it's trying to escape the problems, or wanting to be part of trend or group for popularity, or not having the best support from either your friends or family. Drinking is not the way to go, in life there's always other ways to cope with ones feelings or emotions that can used positively and healthy. There is no one in this world that can be left alone, everyone has a place they belong. It's just picking the right friends and knowing ones own boundaries that will make the difference in the long run.
