To begin with, television stimulates social intimate interaction. Nowadays, there are a variety of programs which attract all the members of one family, regardless of age, gender, or interests. Nowadays programs that the whole family can enjoy are broadcasted on a number of channels. The whole family can watch movies which help parents relax and unwind from daily problems and children can look forward to entertaining rewards after studying. In this way, communication among family members will improve, as they have more memories spent together and can share opinions and thoughts. Television is a factor which contributes in strengthening family relationships. For example, on a daily basis, my family gets together after a long day of work and watches a film or episodes of a sitcom. My father prepares such media files in advance and we choose from the selected few. Normally, my family tunes into comical themes. It is a very refreshing feeling to laugh with my loved ones. However, there are times when we choose serious themes. The time we all watched 'The 25 Anniversary of Les Miserable' was noticeably one movie that bonded our family. The impact on my family was so strong that we downloaded the movie file onto our smart phones and listened to the music whenever we were together.
