In the low tide zone and the mid tide zone the temperatures can vary. In the low tide the temperatures usually vary from 8-17 degrees Celsius and in the mid tide zone the temperature can vary from 14-21 degrees Celsius. If the air temperature is too hot then the A.Tenebrosa could dry out when out of the water and if the light is to instance and the A.Tenebrosa is in the direct sunlight then the Anemone could dry and out and die. So the organism needs to live in amongst the crack and crevices in the shade away from the sunlight, in the shade creating a cooler environment. To get away from the temperature the organism needs to surround itself amongst other A.Tenebrosa’s to create more humid air creating more moisture to surround them.
Oxygen avaialability is another abiotic factor that the organism needs to adapt to that effects its distribution. The short time while the A.Tenebrosa is out of the water, surviving becomes more difficult for the organism. The A.Tenebrosa gets its oxygen through the water so when the organism is out of the water it needs to adapt to get that oxygen. The A.Tenebrosa folds up and holds the water (as stated previously) to be able to breathe and get the oxygen needed to survive while the water is at low
