It can consist of many human characteristics such as race, age, creed, religion, ethnicity, and Gender and class level. Wellner(2000)this simply means that diversity stands and speaks for us as human beings, it differentiates us as individuals either by race, age, gender, ethnicity, religion or class. In “The Processing Plant,” Pollan attempts to track down what happens to the corn that is not sent to the feedlot. Much of it ends up in processing plants. Pollan distinguishes between a traditional mill, which grinds corn into flour to produce tortillas, and wet mills, which rely on a great deal of water, energy derived from fossil fuels, and steel tanks. These wet mills are like an artificial digestive system that breaks corn down into its molecular parts so it can be used to produce, among many other things, high-fructose corn syrup. Pollan explains that once corn is broken down…

During the Press Conference I agreed with the political philosopher, Baron de Montesquieu. This actor suggests the division of states and the separation of powers within the government. This is a logical claim because it can prevent tyranny because the government will consists of groups of people who will discuss and make decisions within each of the three branches of government. This is extremely effective because many people with education and a different point of view can discuss and make decisions together instead of having one man to have complete power of the government and make decisions as he pleases. For example, if one of the branches wants to war and the other two branches believe that is not a good idea, they can overrule that decision and not go to war.…
