Texans During The Civil War
Many Texans fought during the Civil War, for so many different reasons. Some because they had to help the confederate army now that they were apart of it. The Union went against the Confederate in 1861. They wanted the country to be whole again. But, after the Confederacy seceded, they became two parts. Texas fought to protect slavery, state’s rights, and their love for Texas. Texas fought to protect slavery.
