Clearly, texting is the preferred method of communication among young people, and that trend is moving upward toward adults, who are also texting much more frequently. More people prefer texting nowadays so so face to face communication is really starting to lack in society. Texting is constantly changing our language. The use of abbreviations, digits and the general absence of any vowels has changed the way we can communicate with people and how we use the written word by mobile phone. Texting is ruining communication in face to face conversations. Consequently, people who text a lot may be more uncomfortable with in-person communication and may even use their cell phones to communicate with people who are in their presence. It can also be hard for them to keep a conversation going if they are used to just having short conversations over the phone. People need to face the real world and learn how to interact face to face. Either meeting a new person through text messaging to start off by, such as job interviewing that happens with a lot with face to face interactions. Nevertheless, if you want to desperately get the job it requires eye contact, and good posture. This can affect a relationship with friends and couples that are dating. Most people are on their phone a lot throughout the day so we have to find some way to get them off if it and communicate. Some businesses have already tried to stop cell phone usage. Restaurants like Chick-Fil-A have tried to have people put their phones away while they are eating. For example, they would had a tub to a family to put all their phones in and if they stay off of the phones the whole time then they get something free from the restaurant. Businesses need to start realizing that this is a real problem in society and need to step in and help the cause. Now a day 6 year olds have phones and text short messages. That wasn't heard of a few years ago. The age will keep getting younger and communication is gonna lack even more because kids won't know how to keep a conversation going without a phone. It's not just companies and businesses that should realize this is a problem. Parents should realize this too and try and teach there kids communication without a phone. Many have kids who just started using communication or haven’t started at all, and are wondering what to teach their kids about communication. The best solution to this problem is to teach using face to face communication. In the old days, talking face to face was the way to go. They would walk or drive somewhere and meet up just to have a conversation. Now a day we rely on electronics.
