Thank You M Am Character Analysis

Being empathetic is being both understanding And caring. In the story Thank You, M’AM by Langston Hughes I learned that even tho ms.Jones seems rough on the outside in the inside she is empathetic. My reasons are ms.Jones understands the boy, also ms.jones is caring for the boy, and my last reason is ms.Jones acts tough.

Furthermore Ms.Jones understands the boy. My first piece of evidence is when she said “I believe you're hungry-or been hungry”then she kept going on and on about her pocket book. This shows she understands the boy because she understood how he was hungry. Too and on too that she made food for the boy to eat this demonstrates another example about why Ms.Jones is understanding. My last piece of evidence is she had a Conversation
My first piece of evidence About why ms. Jones is Caring is “Unless you just want some sweet milk for yourself.” that is an example of how she was caring because Ms. Jones cared about what the boy wanted. Another reason on why Ms. Jones caring for the boy is “Let the water run until it gets warm” the reason behind her being caring when she did this was because she cared the boy washing his face in warm water. My last piece of evidence for how Ms.Jones is caring for the boy is she gave the boy money to buy the Blue Suede Shoes that is caring to the boy because she cared about the boy not having to steal to get something but asking for what you want then you'll probably be more likely to get what you want. That shows that Ms.Jones is a caring person

My last reason for why Ms.Jones is empathetic is she acts tough. One way she acts tough is “the large woman simply turned around and kicked him” that shows Ms.Jones is tough because she was not afraid to use self defense. Another way Ms.Jones acts tough is “firmly griped by his shirt front” that shows she is tough because she FIRMLY GRIPED the front of the boys shirt. My last piece of evidence is how Ms.Jones dragged the boy all the way to her
