Nicki Minaj says to Ask for What You're Worth

According to Black Enterprise, Nicki Minaj grew up wanting to be her own boss. "As a child, my mother didn’t have a job where she was the boss,” she said “And I always looked at that and wished she was the boss and did make her own rules. So from very early on, I felt like ‘You know what? Whatever I do, one day I want to be more in charge of my business.’”

It's hard to argue that she did not do exactly that, especially given her newly acquired place on Time's list of "The 100 Most Influential People". She is also the only female to earn her way onto Forbe's 2015 "Hip Hop Cash Kings" list having brought in over $21 million.
