In some cases, they continue to expose their child to the abuser and the abuse continues. It’s hard to get a child help when the parents themselves are not advocating on their behalf. In cases where the child is placed in a new home the abuse may continue. The department of child services have a tough job of making sure a child has been placed with a good family. Although, the job is often stressful and overwhelming it is very important that they report anything that looks out of place in a child’s new home.
