Daisy is a stunning, rich, has a husband, and a daughter. But yet, she can’t decide who she wants: Tom or Gatsby. She is the type of person who like to craves for attention. Daisy can can lure mens with her own voice.“ I’ve heard it said that Daisy’s murmur was only to make people lean toward her; an irrelevant criticism that made it no less charming” (13). This shows that Daisy has a way to manipulate people, so that they can pay more attention to her. It’s like how Gatsby is sire to Daisy. Daisy doesn’t show the American Dream, instead of doing it by herself, she learned a way to manipulate people, and she gets away with everything.
Jordan baker, a famous golf-player, and also rich. She had everything going for what she has. At first, Nick was attracted to Jordan because she doesn’t care what people think about her, and she is a confident person. However, when Jordan supports Daisy of having an affair and she starting to lie, Nick describe her as a dishonest person. “She was incurably dishonest. She wasn’t able to endure being at a disadvantage, and given this unwillingness I suppose she had begun dealing in subterfuges when she was very young in order to keep that cool insolent smile turned to the world and yet satisfy the demands of her hard jaunty body” (63).
