This battle started back when the U.S. surrendered the Bataan Peninsula on the Philippine island of Luzon. It began on April 9, 1942. It was surrendered to the Japanese during World War two. He was also a key player in this battle. Although MacArthur was forced to execute a well thought out plan. He also had thought how he was going to get his troops free from the Japanese. The Japanese commander was General Homma Masaharu. He was commander of the invasion forces. He was also charged for the widespread abuse at camp O’Donnell. He was later executed by a firing squad on April 3, 1946.
This battle was fought on the Bataan Peninsula and preceded to camp O’Donnell where troops were malnourished. Some troops developed diseases from the harsh conditions. Some troops even died. Camp O’Donnell was a prison camp where Prisoners of war were kept.
