I am the commander and chief of the Continental Army. I led my army to victories against the British including, the Battle of Yorktown. The Battle of Yorktown was the last major battle in the Revolutionary War. It started when figured out that high numbers of British troops were staying in Yorktown, Pennsylvania. Then, the French general, Comte de Rochambeau and I quickly came up with a strategy to trap their army because we out numbered the British general Charles Cornwallis's by more than twice the size. Comte de Rochambeau was sending ships up the east coast to aid my army. We then had the idea of using those ships to block off Cornwallis direct supply line and reinforcements troops with the British navy. We cut their resources and reinforcements. After a while Cornwallis surrendered and that is when Lord North, the Prime Minister of England, announced, "It is all over." Have you ever been cold? We took over Fort Ticonderoga on May 10, 1775. We surprised the British and took their large supply of weapons, including cannons. They then brought the cannons to Dorchester Heights and took back Boston from the British. This took a lot strategy to bring the cannons and ammunition from Fort Ticonderoga to Boston. Henry Knox and his men moved the cannon 300 miles in 56 days. They did it during the winter with the help of only ice sleds and oxen.
