The political speech I watched was titled, “The Best Speech Of 2012”. Bill Whittle (a conservative) spoke on the topic about the presidency and how it relates to the American people. The video was published on November 27, 2012. Whittle connects the American people using money and power. The audience throughout the whole speech is involved, active laughing, and cheering.
The overall purpose of the speech was to connect politics with the American people. Whittle uses specific examples about Mitt Romney’s bank account and how it does not change him as a human being. Whittle says with great honesty, “The 250 million dollars in his bank account does not make Romney live 250 million times better than the person standing next to him who is flat out broke, not here in America. I have air conditioning, they have air conditioning. I have more rooms to air condition but we both have air conditioning… If I get hit by a bus, I get taken to the same hospital as the poorest American where I’m given the same treatment by the same doctors as the poorest Americans”. The main purpose of the speech was that if the message and the messenger don’t match, the American people cannot relate to the president and the policies that take place.
Bill Whittle was very effective when he gave the speech; he had the audience the whole time. The speech was a huge success, (very clear by the title) “The Best Speech Of 2012”. The audience (as well as the online comments and views) showed a lot of attention to the speech, therefore making the overall purpose stand out and was able spread throughout social media.

During the body of the speech, Whittle did a great job keeping the attention of his audience as well as my attention by using specific
