The Big Blossom Play Analysis
Hi Layni, It sounds as though we have something in common, concerning being shy in school, along with watching “The Big Bang Theory”. It seems that many of us enjoy “The Big Bang Theory”.

In my opinion, audience reaction depends on the elements of drama that is taking place. If it is a drama is sad, you’re going to have audience cry. If the drama is funny, then the audience is laughing. The actors are there

The story begins around April 2013, right about 3 months after I passed my tests and got my bowling coaching certification. I was at the time coaching a youth league at Cactus Bowl, I would coach one week and bowl in the same league the next. I had very little experience at this time when it came to coaching, I only had experience coaching the bumper bowlers at the time, and no experience coaching the kids my age. There were 6 other coaches, another who coached bumpers, one who was more there to heckle more than anything, two who would focus on one kid for the day, and two who would try to focus on everyone they could including the head coach who would get everything set up for when the league started.…

Realist plays are often a response or a comment on an issue or topic in society, past or present. Within No sugar, it is accepted Davis is responding to the topic of racism against Indigenous Australians, treating them in a subhuman manner and “othering” them. Othering can be defined as the practise of imposing a definition on a particular group in society, most commonly a marginalised one. It consequently disempowers the chosen groups and allows the dominant group to maintain it’s power and control. With reference to the 1905 Aborigines Act, it can be determined that the process of othering happened on a political scale to the Australians Aboriginals. The act was intentionally constructed to consolidate the use of the Indigenous Australian’s…

Godspell, by Stephen Schwartz, is a musical that depicts counterculturalists from all walks of life coming together to learn from a Jesus figure. The play directly quotes the stories and parables found in the book of Matthew. While the play’s parables can be explored to find their overall message of love and redemption, the play can also be observed as an artifact of the countercultural movement.…

Throughout Margaret Edson’s post modern drama, a plethora of implicit and explicit connections to John Donne’s metaphysical poetry are illuminated through the characterisation of Vivian Bearing as she lives through Donne. John Donne has been abducted to the sterilized academic world of ‘publish or perish’, along with the myriad central values of enduring themes that engulf the audience due to their prevailing ability to transcend contextual barriers.…

Florida Studio Theatre’s production of Butler by Richard Strand is witty, full of word play, and all too relevant. As a country embroiled in conversation around race, immigration, identity, and at the core of it all who has the right to humanity, this question is posed to us once again as with this play. Butler embodies both the past and present while presenting a unique opportunity to learn from it and change our future.…
