Michael and Precious both have had rough lives and have the chance to start over, with the help of so very important individuals. The Blind Side follows in Precious’s footsteps, except for the happy ending.
For a movie that is supposed to focus on the life of Michael Oher, Michael barley speaks and is overcast by Leigh Anne. Leigh Anne take the lead in this movie, although it moves slowly, and almost makes the audience forgot who the movie is about. Leigh Anne represents a stereotypical southern white republican, but does so without rocking the boat. All issues brought up during the film are discussed in such a way as to not offend viewers and still be considered effective. John Lee Hancock, the director, does a fantastic job using the Christian values of the Tuohy family into the movie. John Lee Hancock does an amazing job portraying a real life story on the big screen and attempting to keep it as close to the actual events as possible.
The Blind Side is rated PG-13 due to some sexual references and inappropriate language. Overall, The Blind Side is a must see movie, even with all of its flaws. The message in this movie is what is important and going in with an open mind is critical to receiving the heart warming
