Michael Oher was a homeless teenager that drifted in and out of the school system. One day, he planned to sleep at the gym when he was approached by Leigh Anne. She offered him a place to stay. Not long after, he was taken in and then officially adopted by the Tuohys. He didn’t expect to become a part of this family and he didn’t know just how much this moment would be a turning point in his life. He didn’t expect this family to liberate him from the effects of poverty at a young age.
