Readers can predict that they will not find Schmuel’s dad because he is dead and the boys might get hurt by soldiers while exploring for what they came for. Second, on page #212-213 Bruno and Schmuel went inside a room holding hands after being in a line with people in striped pajamas heading to a dark room with no light then the book suddenly ends.
