The Breakfast Club Andy Character Analysis
Recently, we watched the movie, The Breakfast Club. The character I chose to write about is Andy. Andy is a wrestler. He wins a lot because of the patch on his jacket. The patch said state champion. He is the athlete of the story and the jock. He bullied other people below him because they weren’t as good as him.
Andy stood up for the others in the beginning of the movie. John was picking on Claire and he stopped him. He stood up for others in the beginning of the movie. Towards the middle of the movie he just does nothing about the people being picked on. It’s almost like Andy and John were friends for part of the movie.
Andy was a bully to some of the nerds because he told the story of putting tape on the kid. The kid’s name was Larry.
He was one of those people that was slim and had not a lot of muscle and was weak. Andy bullied people because he thought he was on top of everybody. He played sports and was good and thought he was better than everyone.
After he shared his story he felt bad for the kid. He thought it was funny because it happened to someone else. Then Andy finally thought about what it would be like to be him. Getting bullied and embarrassed all of the time.He got real emotional because it would feel bad being in that kid’s shoes. Most of the people in the detention were bullies and were popular. Andy changed from standing up to others. Then he sort of became the usual jock and bullid others. Then he had an emotional side where he cared for other’s feelings and then went back to a bully again.
