The challenges faced by the Muslim Leaders(dai) Challenges between Muslims There are a lot of problems and challenges even among the Muslim. Nowadays, the unity of Ummah is lacking in many places. Muslim society is supposed to be one whole community but there have been many internal conflict among us. The following are some of the challenges faced by the Muslim leaders as a Dai. (1) Racialism or nationalism even among Muslim themselves. A muslim treats other muslim depends on where he or she come from due to racial profiling, societal expectations and stereotypes, etc. Even our Prophet (s.a.w) opposed all forms of racialism. He said “ O people! Your God is one and your forefather (Adam) is one. An Arab is not better than a non-Arab and a non-Arab is not better than an Arab, and a red (i.e. white tinged with red) person is not better than a black person and a black person is not better than a red person, except in piety. Indeed the noblest among you is the one who is deeply conscious of God.” (2) The second challenge is millions of muslim are taught the Quran everyday but without understanding its meaning or message or relevance in life. Especially the teenagers, they can read the Quran but they don’t understand the meaning. Therefore, it is so difficult for a Dai to teach them further since they don’t even understand the Quran and its meaning. (3) The youth less commitment to the religion. Since the time has been changed and there are a lot of ways to waste the time nowadays, the youth becomes less pious to the religion. (4) Varying different groups in Muslim such as sunni, shia etc. All of them say them are Muslim but sometime they even fight with each other. (5) When doing Dawah works, the audience may be from different background. It will be a bit difficult to deliver the same message to different people. So, it is important to understand the audience’s standard and situations and go down to the same level as them while
