Today, the family structure is far from what is considered ‘traditional’. From two fathers, or two mothers, to single parents, to unwed parents, it is any all in between. In this era, in is not uncommon for the wife to be the major money earner, while the husbands stay at home, many times, both parents work, while relatives, or day care centers take care of the children. The technology of today is extremely advanced. There are computers that are our phones, TV with unmatched quality, almost everything seems to be automated, or controlled by computers, and the way the family interacts with this new technology has grown also. In many ways, the children learn the ins and out of new tech, before the parents do. Along with better TVs, has come advanced television programs. There is such a proliferation of ways to watch TV, it is mind boggling. With so many different TV shows, and ways to watch, a family can enjoy such entertainment that personalized to their own tastes, and watch it whenever, and wherever they want. There are many activities that any part of the family can join, from school clubs, to book clubs, a family can be scattered all over a town, not leading to much time together, but this does make such times together all the more enjoyable. With advances in transportation and communication, families can visit relatives and talk with them wherever they may be, in a sense bringing the family closer
