The Colombian Tiple belongs to the plucked string instruments of the guitar family. The Colombian tiple has twelve strings, divided in 4 courses of 3 strings. In this assessment, we will be looking at the structure and the components of the Colombian Tiple, the physical principles in the instruments using scientific ideas and terminology. Also we will look at the Cultural factor in a local or global context. The Colombian Tiple belongs the the Folklore rural of Colombia.
Colombian Tiple is an instruments of the guitar family, comparable in appearance but slightly smaller than a classical guitar. There are 12 strings, divided in four triples courses. The traditional
The body of the Colombian tiple is resting opposite to your stomach. The neck is what you hold tightly with your left or right hand, therefore, you can press the strings onto to the fingerboards when playing. The frets are the small vertical metal wires on the fingerboards. They enable the strings to be “shortened” in a certain way. It happens by pressing the string onto the fret to have a certain note. The head is where the tuners and the strings are. The tuners are the item that you turn to tune the tiple. The bridge is the parts that supports the string of the tiple as they cross over the body. The function is when the component transfers the vibrations of the strings into the body of the tiple which in case of mostly instruments in the guitar family, it amplifies them. The colombian tiple produced the tones with the left or right hand in a more or less suitable and fast way. The Colombian tiple works the same as an classic guitar but the sound of the pitch is higher than an classic guitar. This is because they are more strings that creates higher note on a Colombian tiple than and a classical guitar with 6 strings. The main source in a Colombian tiple is the string when it is plucked with the finger or with a pick.
