Victims
Firstly, victims who are being bullied may experience many immediate mental or physical health-related consequences. There is a studies show that victims have more psychological stress such as anxiety, sadness, low-esteem, sleep difficulties, headaches, stomach pain and general tension then their peers who are not being bullied. It can effects victims’ resistance lead to disease and illness and they may get sick more often.
On the other hands, victims have few friends or none at all as their high anxiety level and low self-worth make them difficult to make friends with others. This will make them feel of isolation and worthy of having friends. Other children also do not want to make friends with the victims and they are afraid being bullied as well and afraid peer do not like them if they be the friends of victims. When victims feel lonely and sad, their learning and school success will be affected. They will have poor school attendance because they afraid of going to school. One study found that 8% of 8th graders in the U.S. miss at least one day of school per month for fear of bullies. They may also receive lower academic results due to attendance problems and stress.A vicious cycle may occur when the victims have poor performance and attendance at school and lead them do not want to go school anymore.
Moreover, victims may become violent after they are being bullied or even in the future. This violent behavior may be directed toward themselves, their school or even the bullies themselves. In some cases, the bullying may finally result the victim has a thought of suicide or may actually commit suicide.
It show that bullying effect victims meant and physical health a lot and can be very serious if we do not concern the problem.
