crisis.
The article claims “Jews: up to 6 million” (DOCUMENTING NUMBERS OF VICTIMS OF THE HOLOCAUST AND NAZI PERSECUTION) Both genocides involve the deaths of one specific group of people but not excluding all
others. A Genocide could occur anywhere but it generally occurs in countries with a conflict already in the happening. For example the text states “During World War II (1939–45)” Germany at this time was in a very depressing state because of the Holocaust and the war weighing down on the country’s money and people. Germany had a lot of leadership problems at the time along with the other problems. Syria now is coming up with some similar problems as the Holocaust as the text states “On August 21, 2013, the crisis took on a dangerous new dimension with a chemical weapons attack by the Syrian regime” at this point the Syrian regime has chemical weapons which are a major threat to people of this country and others surrounding.
Something as big as a Genocide has to have a leader or leaders on the good and or bad side of the “war”. The text shows “Adolf Hitler (1889–1945)” (Holocaust) This man lead the Nazi party down to the last soldier and directed the inhumane practice of concentration camps, The most known named Auschwitz. Hitler generally believed that people that aren't German shouldn't get a say in what happens in German. Syria similarly had an outbreak because of the beliefs of some people vs others and it got to the point in which other countries had to get involved such as “United States Russia Iran Saudi arabia Qatar Turkey France Britain” (Who's who in Syria: A look at 8 key players in the war). All of the middle eastern countries got stuck in this problem but other countries noticed that the problem as getting out of had so they decided to step in like Britain, the US and France. Genocide does not occur in the same manor but they lead to deaths of innocents and the destruction of lives.
