Of my experience; one specifically involved in distributing food bags from house to house for mainly poor families. To positively execute our task; firstly, each student identified focus group of individuals within our neighbourhood. Overall, four to five families within our neighbourhood gained from this charitable effort. The report and findings on the community service project was related back to the teacher. I would sat down and converse with them. From these discussion came my questions such as; what was your family background in terms of economical state? Was your root parents and grandparent poor? Was hunger present in the society before and now? Why was hunger present? Interestingly, numerous spoke on older days of lifestyle and how generations operated. Their responses and views were from experience. Some could relate and say that these same less fortunate people came from very poor families. They could not afford to be educated and so could not provide a stable income to their families. There was no room for economic growth. Even so, some belief in older generation seem to be that educational system was not important. It was not emphasized especially for women. Another background information given was that professional working class of people were few and majority of them were local agriculture farmers. Although the farmers would cultivate their agriculture farming, most were small size farmer. Their income would still be minimal; so less wage for hard work. Majority of these family visited stated that due low income and severe poverty, they could not afford to buy food. Such undesirable state led them to being
