Officer Jane Roberts got pregnant by the FTO, Andrew Tibbets. The FTO is not willing to leave his wife and now will not have anything to do with Officer Jane Roberts. There was a confrontation and Sergeant Williams witnessed it but never mentioned it to either one of them, thinking that they could take care of it themselves. Well, since the FTO now wants nothing to do with Officer Roberts, she went to Sergeant Williams to let him know what was going on between the two of them. She told him that she was pregnant and that the baby was Officer Tibbets. The Sergeant informed her that she would have…
Deft’s murder charge: A murder charge against Deft is proper if the facts show that Deft committed a homicide with malice. It is clear that Deft committed a homicide (unlawful killing of another) because Deft shot and killed Kyle. The issue is whether the killing was committed with malice.…

Canada’s prison population is at its highest level ever even though crime is decreasing (silcox, February 5, 2014). This can be attributed to Canada’s PIC, people in power makes laws to imprison the misfits of society so they can be used as raw material for companies that rely on prisons for profit. In Canada the number of visible minorities in prison has increased 75% in the last decade, while aboriginals make up a quarter…
When she took the bait she had gotten caught because a few days later they said that she was using counterfeit bills to buy her things. So the cops brought her to the station to question her. She said that she hadn’t known they were counterfeit and said she had gotten the money from me. That's when the plan backfired. The brought me in for questioning and I said that I hadn’t know they were counterfeits and that I just found them in the grass one day. The questioning had ended there but not for my parents. They ground into my sister for taking the money from me and then started grinding into me to figure out where I had gotten the money. I told them that I got it from a friend so I could use it as a way to get Meradith, my sister, to stop stealing money from me and from them. They said it was stupid of me to do that because she could have been arrested and kept in prison for a long time and they didn't want that to happen I told them I had done it for the greater good and they just scoffed and scowled at me. From that moment forward I haven't talked to my family or anybody since then because I didn't want to be punished for trying to do the right thing. I haven't spoken to anybody about it, not even Mr. Meany. I’m glad…

Hegemony hides under the guise of many names. In his book the seventeen irrefutable laws of teamwork John Maxwell identifies the term “group think”, and warns against its power to blind productivity and narrow the focus of a team(Maxwell, 2001). He suggests that in every meeting there should be someone assigned the task of maintaining a view of opposition to the rest of the group. This form of hegemony is pretty easily identifiable for business majors, however Hegemony in science technology engineering and mathematics, STEM, is hidden. The white male dominated community has stood to maintain the white privilege within the field and fueled the exploitation…
In this society, there are adolescences that happen to slip through the cracks and stay in the system of justice for criminals all through their existence even if some are bailed out by efficient guidelines during crucial developmental periods. The regulation for juvenile misconduct could be managed on criminals up until 21 years of age when the court considers that the offender is emerging. Some issues related with young crime has to do with living in an insecure family environment and family hostility, deprivation, drugs, negligent peer cliques, frequent contact with violence, media violent behavior, and easy exposure to firearms.…

I hope to be able to explain this all in a way that everyone will be able to understand what is going on with our juveniles.…
Fred is drunk and driving his dad’s car. Fred is a 21 year old student at Columbia College. Fred rams into a parked car at 10th and Rogers. Thinking no one saw him; Fred moves his car and parks it on an adjacent lot. He sprints to his dorm room in Miller Hall. A neighbor saw the wreck and Fred running to the dorm. Police are called and they arrive ten minutes after the wreck. The officers see several empty beer cans and a bottle of tequila (half full) in the front seat. The tags are traced to Fred’s dad, who is called by police. Dad says that Fred is a student at Columbia College. Police run Fred's record and determine that he has two prior DWIs within the past five years. The third DWI in 10 years is a felony. Police contact Columbia College security who leads them to Fred’s dorm. Fred is passed out, so security lets them in. The officers smell intoxicants, give Fred some Field Sobriety tests (he fails) and confirm that he was driving the car. Fred is arrested for DWI. It is his third offense, a felony under Missouri law. Fred is given a breath test, which registers at .13 on the scale. During the processing of his arrest paperwork, the officers search Fred’s possessions which he brought to the station, and a small quantity of cocaine is found in Fred’s pocket. Fred is charged with DWI, leaving the scene, and possession of cocaine. What issues do you see? How should they be resolved? (50 points)…
“Don’t become a mere recorder of fact, but try to penetrate the mystery of their origin”(Ivan Pavlov). My fascination with psychology grows ever stronger as I learn more about forensic psychology. I believe forensic psychology is a lucrative career that many will want to pursue.…
Justice can be defined as fair treatment or behavior. For Christians, the idea of justice comes from a belief that all people are created in the image of God (imago dei) and should therefore be treated with dignity and respect. Therefore, whenever a person commits a crime it is the responsibility of the government to make sure that the issue of justice is addressed.…
