When your negative and upset about things you tend to be unhappy. My first example In the story The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, the main character lives in a area where the dust bowl is. The family lives on a small farm and survives on the money that they get from the crops they grow and sell. The quote below will show how your attitude can be another big part of your happiness. The author says, The squatting tenant men nodded and wondered and drew figures in the dust, and yes, they knew, God knows. If the dust only wouldn't fly. The book Stumbling on Happiness by Daniel Gilbert is one book on happiness that sticks out from the rest. It convinces us that we don't even know what makes us happy in the first place- so why worry about it. The author proves that we often do not know what really truly makes us happy now, what made us happy in the past, and even what makes us happy in the future. The book uses real life psychology experiments and tests and implements them into this book to back up his argument.…

We all have a different definition of happiness, and it seems like it is still unclear what happiness really means. In “the sources of happiness”, by Howard Cutler, he discuss where happiness comes from and how the comparing mind works. Is pleasure considered happiness? And will comparing ourselves to other people people bring us happiness or misery?. It is important to understand that happiness is not just one element. It is something that is built over time and rewarded to those who work for it.…

It is often said that, the people who are happiest don't focus on their own happiness instead they would rather focus their happiness on other people.
