The Day My Niece Was Born
It was a regular cool autumn day, I was at home with my little sister. Time passed, and my mom finally got home from work. A few minutes later, she received a phone stating that my oldest sister Ciara is in labor. When I found out, I was shocked and excited at the same time. I hurried up and got dressed we got in the car and rushed to the hospital. When we arrived we went to the room she was being held in, she took epidural so she wouldn’t feel any pain. We had to leave because, they were about to take her to another room so she could finally give birth. My dad arrived at the hospital a little while later, he was breathing hard I could tell he was nervous by the sweat on the top of his bald shiny head. He hurried to the room my sister was in. I was pacing back and forth in the waiting room, biting my nails I was super nervous. My forehead was sweating; I had no idea what would happen next. I kept thinking to myself “what if something goes wrong” and “what’s happening in the room?” My big sister Shanice came into the waiting room and us talking helped me stay calm a little bit. We were in the hospital for hours, waiting patiently and impatiently. Me, I was impatient I couldn’t wait to find out if the baby was going to be a boy or girl…what the baby was going to look like etc. my bought us something to eat, she had to leave because she had to work in the morning. We ate and watched TV in the waiting room, still waiting for the baby to be born. Finally an hour ½ later my dad came into the waiting room and told my sister and I the good news..our niece had been born. Her name was Morgan…He showed us the video of her being born. It was the most disgusting thing I had ever seen, blood was everywhere. I couldn’t tell what was the baby and what wasn’t. The umbilical cord looked like a fat veiny, spaghetti noodle. While my sister was giving birth, all we heard on the video was my dad shouting,
