Almost every facet of American life has now been franchised or chained. (Shrodes) How many stores or franchises can be identified with no recognition of ever visiting the store? According to an article written in 2013 by the Huffington post eight out of ten Americans order take out at least once a month. Four years later one wonders if those facts are still the same. Once a month, more like once a week! Fast food industries have taken over the minds of the children. Now instead of vegetables and healthy foods American children are now convinced that having a happy meal is better than moms cooking. The children now know the Mc Donald’s theme song better than their ABC’S and 1,2,3’S.
The typical American now consumes approximately three hamburgers and four orders of French fries each week. But a steady barrage of fast food Ads, full of thick juicy burgers and long golden fries, rarely mentions where these foods come from nowadays or what ingredients they contain.
