Trust vs. Mistrust – ever since her infancy, she has been passed around the care of different people that her parents knew, and many of them were also heavy drug users like her parents. In this stage, instead of having the virtue of hope, she leaned towards more to anxiety considering that the care that she receives during this stage completely varies due to her being passed around, thus making her most likely not to get accustomed to the variety of inconsistent care that she is receiving. The sense of mistrust had more impact in this stage.

Autonomy vs. Shame and Doubt – considering that her parents and other people who mostly took care of her were mostly heavy drug users, it is safe to assume that they simply let Alicia go on most of her ways.
