In the book Divergent at the choosing ceremony Tris finds herself In a difficult situation she doesn’t quite know which faction to choose if she doesn’t choose abnegation she knows she will upset her parents, but her heart wants to go to Dauntless, at the end she chooses Dauntless. Feeling ashamed might come with your life choices but its better being ashamed or upsetting someone who will eventually get over it then regretting something for the rest of your life. It also teaches it is okay to be different, so many people are concerned with what people think of them they just try and fit in instead of being there selves. In Divergent the people try so hard to fit in they forget who they truly are.
