In The Ethical Toolbox on page 370, it states that preventive thinking is “look before or behind a problem as it is usually preseneted.” Preventive thinking does not necessairly eliminate the problem but it helps the problem in some way. When thinking about the drug problem we want to figure out how to get the dealers off the streets. According to page 370 in The Ethical Toolbox, it ponders the idea of longer jail terms, more police and mandatory sentencing. None of these would totally eliminate the problem but they would help. Also stated in the text are some questions are “why are so many people tempted by drugs?” To answer this question, people get into drugs when something is not right in there lives, peer pressure or they have some sort of reason. In my personal opinion, the drug problem will never be fixed. This is a hard thing to monitor and I know there are ways to help reduce the amount of drug deals but it is a difficult thing to
