Janie ran upstairs into her attic and searched through boxes she had never seen before. One box had the letter H on it, but no one in her family had the letter H in their name. They were going to New Jersey to find her biological parents. Janie looked up their last name, Spring, in the phonebook. She looked through the pages and found their address, 114 Highview Avenue. This is where they were headed. 3 hours passed, and they arrived at the address. It was near the end of the day and school busses filled the neighborhood. The bus stopped at the house and two kids hopped out of the bus. They ran up to the door and their mother had let them in, each of them had red hair. Janie had red hair as well, nobody in the Johnson family had red hair. Janie couldn’t believe she had been kidnapped. Janie sat in shock when she saw that each of them had red hair. Janie thought about it for awhile and she came up with the idea that Hannah may have kidnapped Janie as a young child. She then could’ve given Janie to Mr. and Mrs. Johnson to take care of. Even though she may have been kidnapped, Janie loved her non-biological parents. Janie did not want to go back to living with her real family. Janie and Reeve then drove back home to Connecticut. Janie decided to write a letter to her biological parents, stating that she was alive and well, and that they didn’t need to worry
