The Failure Of The Protestant Reformation
The Protestant Reformation involved the breakdown in the authority & power of the Catholic Church. The Reformation was partly caused by the black death and partly by the renaissance.
In Europe war erupted between the Catholics and Protestants. The Protestant leaders were trying to break from the country the old grip of the Catholic Church. Their are 2 types of monarchs, the monarch and the absolute monarch. Monarch is god's representative on earth. Monarch increased the power by building huge armies. But their taxes were raised so the peasant revolted. Because they did not want to pay higher taxes. Monarch responds to all of this by increasing their army and seizing even more control for themselves.
