To begin with, Bruno and his parents had a fence built between them after they moved from their home in Berlin to a house next to a concentration camp named, “Out-With” (Auschwitz- Bruno was too young to understand). However, genocides continued around the world in Rwanda, Kosovo, and Darfur. I believe the reason why we haven’t been able to learn the lesson of the fence is because history repeats itself. Before the Holocaust, there was the “Trail of Tears” for the Native Americans and these Jews are also being pushed away from their homes. Also the world as a whole said that and in that whole are people. Everyone can be both “good” and “bad.” The world as a whole said that but we may seem to forget that some individuals that may be seen as minors can stand up and do horrible things as done before. Just the belief, power, and supporters can lead people to do something that could have been avoided if everyone wasn’t seen as a whole. We must find the solution and not just make statements for an entire group or what majority thinks because every individual who chose against, may just be the next person starting a
