The First Great American Road Trip By Horatio Klein
In the text “ The First Great American Road Trip, ” by Klein, it talks about a road trip. The author is giving attitude in the text he is feeling some type of way about Dr. Horatio Nelson Jackson. Dr. Horatio Nelson Jackson is looked at as a hero because they went through a really hard time on the road trip. Despite them having a really hard and stressful time on the road, they made it to their destination thanks to Dr. Horatio Nelson Jackson. Klein explains all the rough times they're going through on the road trip.

First, In the text “The First Great American Road Trip, ” by Klein “[p]revious cross-country automobile trips had all ended in failure, and Jackson’s hastily arranged drive was likely to suffer a similar fate.” The author is explaining to the reader that all the automobile cars had failed and they had to drive the car. However, Dr. Horatio Nelson Jackson got in the passenger seat with barely any driving experience and mechanical knowledge. Proving that Dr. Jackson ain’t know how to drive or fix the car. They had to find a repair shop to get their car back working since none of them knew how to drive.

Additionally, they were left stranded for eight hours in the desert. Showing that if they didn’t find somebody to repair their car they would be stuck in the desert and their road trip would be ruined. They ended up finding a repair man and Klein and his friends got to finish the road
